After Course Commencement: Once a course has commenced, no refunds shall be issued, regardless of attendance, participation level, or completion status.

Access to Materials: No refund shall be granted where a student has accessed course materials, recordings, learning platforms, or live sessions.

Deferred Enrolment: At our discretion, a student may be allowed to defer to a later cohort as a one time accommodation. Deferrals are not automatic and attract administrative conditions.

All refund requests must be made in writing via email to the academy and approved refunds where applicable will be processed within 7 working days from the date of approval.

6. ENROLMENT, ENROLMENT FEE PAYMENT AND CLASS ATTENDANCE (STRICTLY ONLINE PROGRAMME)

6.1 Effect of Enrolment Fee Payment

Payment of an enrolment fee or deposit constitutes the student's intent to enrol in a designated online programme on our website. Such payment does not, by itself, guarantee immediate access to classes, learning groups, or materials until all enrolment conditions are satisfied.

6.1.1 Deposit Based Online Enrolment

  • A deposit secures temporary and conditional online access to the programme.
  • Deposits are strictly non-refundable once online access is granted.
  • Deposits do not cover the full cost of programme delivery and do not limit the student's obligation to pay the outstanding balance in full.

6.1.2 Payment Deadlines

  • Outstanding balances must be paid on or before the communicated due date.
  • Due dates are fixed and not dependent on reminders, attendance, or progress.
  • Failure to pay the balance by the due date constitutes late payment under these terms of use.

6.1.3 LATE PAYMENT CONSEQUENCES

(a) Limited Grace Period

  • A one time grace period of 3 calendar days may apply following the due date, unless otherwise stated in writing via email.
  • During the grace period, the Academy may restrict or limit online access, including live classes, recordings, assessments, or community platforms.

(b) Late Payment Penalty

  • Upon expiry of the grace period, a late payment penalty of 5% of the outstanding balance shall apply in addition to the full outstanding balance.
  • Late payment penalties accrue automatically and are payable together with the outstanding balance.

(c) Immediate Access Suspension

After the grace period, the Academy may immediately suspend or revoke the student's access to:

  • Live virtual classes;
  • Recorded content;
  • Messaging or community groups;
  • Assessments and submissions.

Suspension of access does not pause, cancel, or reduce the outstanding payment obligation.

6.1.4 EXTENDED NON-PAYMENT AND DEFAULT

Where the outstanding balance remains unpaid 7 days after the due date, the student shall be deemed to be in payment default.

Upon default:

  • The student's online enrolment may be terminated;
  • All previously granted access shall be deemed fully utilised;
  • The deposit shall be forfeited;
  • No refunds, credits, or rollovers shall be granted;
  • Re-entry into the programme or a future cohort shall require full repayment at prevailing rates.

6.1.5 Discretionary online accommodation for students with incomplete fees

  • We may at our sole discretion grant limited extensions or revised timelines where genuine hardship is demonstrated before default occurs.
  • Any accommodation granted shall be in writing sent to such student via email stating the duration of the extension granted, such extension shall not waive the Academy's rights under these Terms of Use and does not create a precedent.

6.2 Completion of Enrolment

Enrolment shall be deemed complete only when:

  • The required enrolment fee or deposit has been successfully confirmed;
  • The student has provided accurate registration details;
  • The student has electronically accepted all applicable policies, including the Terms of Use, Refund Policy, Payment Plan & Default Policy, and Code of Conduct (where applicable);
  • The Academy grants access credentials to designated online learning platforms.

6.3 Grant of Online Access

Upon completion of enrolment, the Academy shall grant the student access to online classes, platforms, or communities at the scheduled commencement date. Granting of access constitutes commencement of service delivery, regardless of the student's level of participation, attendance, or engagement.

6.4 Strictly Online Attendance

  • All programmes are delivered entirely online.
  • Attendance is the student's sole responsibility and may include live virtual sessions or review of recordings as determined by the Academy.
  • Failure to attend live classes, watch recordings, or participate in online activities shall not entitle the student to refunds, fee reductions, extensions, or compensation.

6.5 Missed Classes and Recordings

  • Live class attendance is encouraged because no makeup class is guaranteed.
  • Availability of recordings where provided is a courtesy and not a contractual obligation.
  • Technical issues on the student's end (including internet access, devices, power supply, or software compatibility) do not constitute non-delivery by the Academy.

6.6 No Make-Up or Re-Scheduling Rights

Students who miss classes due to personal reasons, scheduling conflicts, or technical difficulties shall not be entitled to:

  • Make-up sessions;
  • Private re-teaching;
  • Extension of programme timelines;
  • Refunds or fee credits.

6.7 Suspension Due to Payment Issues

Where a student is enrolled under a payment plan:

  • Continued access to online classes and platforms is conditional upon timely payment of outstanding balances;
  • The Academy may restrict or suspend access for late payment without affecting the student's financial obligations;
  • Attendance missed during suspension shall be deemed forfeited.

6.8 Completion, Progression & Certification

  • Programme completion, progression, or issuance of certificates is subject to compliance with attendance requirements (where applicable), academic standards, and full settlement of all fees;
  • Students in payment default shall not be entitled to certificates or confirmations, regardless of attendance or performance.

6.9 No Employment or Outcome Guarantee

Attendance or completion of any programme does not guarantee employment, freelance work, certification recognition by third parties, or specific learning outcomes.

6.10 Academy Discretion

The Academy reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:

  • Determine class schedules, delivery formats, and instructors;
  • Modify programme structure or timelines where reasonably necessary;
  • Remove or suspend students who violate policies without refund.

7. DIGITAL ACCESS AND STUDENT RESPONSIBILITY CLAUSE

Our Academy delivers all trainings primarily through online platforms. Students acknowledge and agree that:

  • They are solely responsible for providing and maintaining reliable internet access, suitable devices, software, and power supply;
  • The Academy shall not be liable for missed classes, delayed participation, or reduced learning outcomes resulting from internet failure, power outages, device malfunction, or environmental distractions on the student's end;
  • Temporary disruptions, maintenance, or outages affecting online platforms shall not constitute grounds for refunds, compensation, or course repetition.

8. TIME ZONE AND SCHEDULING

  • All class schedules are communicated in West Africa Time (WAT) unless otherwise stated.
  • Students are responsible for converting schedules to their local time zones.
  • Missed sessions due to time zone miscalculation do not qualify for refunds, rescheduling, or compensation.

9. THIRD PARTY TOOLS AND SOFTWARE DISCLAIMER

Courses may rely on third party platforms, tools, or software, including collaboration tools, design software, analytics platforms or code repositories. The Academy does not control and is not responsible for outages, updates, pricing changes, restrictions, or policies of third party tools. Access issues or limitations imposed by such tools shall not constitute a breach by the Academy.

10. ACCOUNT SECURITY AND NON-TRANSFERABILITY

  • Student course login access links are personal, confidential, and non-transferable.
  • Sharing login details, selling access, or allowing third party use is strictly prohibited.
  • Our Academy reserves the right to monitor login activity for all live classes and suspend or terminate access where multiple or suspicious logins are detected.
  • Any breach of this clause shall result in immediate termination without refund.

11. ACADEMIC INTEGRITY AND ASSESSMENTS

  • All submissions, projects, and assessments must be the student's original work.
  • Plagiarism, impersonation, unauthorised collaboration, or misuse of AI tools is prohibited unless expressly permitted.
  • Breach of this clause may result in disqualification, denial of certificates, or termination without refund.

12. ONLINE CONDUCT AND COMMUNITY RULES

Students are expected to maintain professional and respectful conduct across all Academy platforms, including but not limited to live classes, messaging groups, discussion forums, and emails.

Prohibited conduct includes:

  • Harassment, abuse, discrimination, or intimidation;
  • Disrupting live sessions or learning activities;
  • Spamming, solicitation, or unauthorised promotion;
  • Recording, screenshots, or redistribution of content without consent.

The Academy may remove a student from any platform or programme for misconduct, without refund.

13. CERTIFICATES, PROGRESSION AND ONLINE RECORDS

  • Certificates, statements of participation, references, or completion confirmations shall not be issued unless all outstanding fees and penalties are fully paid.
  • Students in default shall not be allowed to progress, graduate, defer, or access archived content.
